Today is the first day of fall.
Fall means Leaf peeping!

I have a fondness for fall and not just because D and I had our first date in the fall. But there's something else, too. It's the fragrance of smoke wafting from chimneys and mixing with the heady scent of the falling leaves, the fresh, chilly air.  It's also the promise of snows to come (my favorite) and the coziness of a down comforter on a cold, autumn night. But one thing is for sure - the awe-inspiring, majestic colors that nature brings every fall makes it one of my favorite times of year.
