date night

Tuxedo Blazer & Butterfly top: Zara; Shorts: JCrew; Necklace: BR; Bracelets: F21; Shoes: Nine West

This is a date night outfit.
Shorts, heels... wait a minute... that just started sounding like another kinda outfit... moving on.

D and I are fortunate enough to live in a place where every night can easily be a date night.  Literally. You don't really need an occasion to "eat out" in the City. Its mostly driven by birthdays, celebratory events, work functions and having no food in the fridge.  The no food in the fridge part happens about 50% of the time. In the summer, if the weather is good, you eat out.  Apartment living doesn't exactly lend itself to outdoor time, if you know what I mean.  So, its the perfect opportunity to sit outside, have a bite and enjoy the weather.  That's why we mostly pick places that have outdoor seating and allow Seamus to lay under the table while we eat.  We love that!

I'm going to miss this when the fall comes.
What are you going to miss most about the summer?

I seriously sound like a broken record, (sick of it yet?), but I love this outfit too. I love NYC, but last summer visiting my best friend there...those 100 degree humid summer nights are nasty. I'm mostly gonna miss the sun being out for more of the day in the summer.

Gorgeous outfit (the butterfly shirt is too adorable for words).

I definitely have to agree with you, patio season is what I'll miss most about summer!

This is a rockin' outfit and I love the light colors. I hope that some day I get to have date nights for no reason, too!

Great minds must think alike because I just rocked the white blazer, too!

I love how you kept the entire look so light and bright, but still feminine with the butterflies. You know, I'm kind of scared of butterflies, but I dig it in the non-threatening form of your top. :)
